Hey friends, today i have written a –
Tutorial on sharing Apple MacBook Pro internet connection via wi-fi hotspot
this is very difficult for people to understand each and every technical problem and solve it personally, this happens to most of us and you are one of us. The very first time i wanted to share my MacBook Pro internet connection to my wi-fi devices, i simply went to google and after some messy tutorials i found none of these to be that helpful and simple.
So, after wasting 2-3 hours on this research, i finally got an idea on how to connect it over wi-fi hotspot. Then, i decided to write on it in as simple words and steps as possible, so that it doesn’t eat up your and other person’s precious time.
So, lets jump into it :
Step 1. Go to System Preferences Window
Step 2. Once you are there, navigate to Sharing Panel, right next to Bluetooth / Networks Icons
Step 3. Inside the Sharing Panel, you will see your Computer Name on the top of the window. On the left hand side, you can find Internet Sharing Checkbox while on the right hand you have the “Share your connection from” and “To computers using” Options. If these options are set properly, then check if the Internet Sharing is checked or not.
if no, then check the Internet Sharing Option. If you want to change the options i.e. Share connection from and To computer using, then you will have to uncheck the Internet Sharing option and make required Changes on the right hand side.
Finally you can see the green light on Internet Sharing saying ON.
